Studio Dress Code

At 3'NMotion dress code is extremely important. Appropriate uniform minimizes distractions in class.   Please read the following dress code and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
  • Students' hair must be worn in a traditional ballet bun at the Block Quote crown of the head.   If a female student has short hair, all hair including bangs must be clipped away from the face.  The goal is to have the hair off the neckline to create an elegant line in a style that cannot move around.
  • Headbands, bandanas, or bun covers as fashion accessories are not allowed.
  • No holes in ballet tights or leotards.
  • Warm-up clothing will be allowed before class and at the teacher's discretion during class in the cold weather.  Only fitted "dance" sweaters and fitted leg warmers are allowed.  No loose or baggy clothes (including T-shirts and hoodies) permitted under any circumstances.
  • Out of respect to all, personal hygiene (clean body and clothing) must be observed.
  • No Jewelry (except small stud earrings).  Dangling earrings and hoops are strictly forbidden due to safety reasons.
  • If applicable, female dancers should wear appropriate undergarment support/bra under leotard making sure straps do not show.
  • Regular underpants/underwear aka panties are not allowed under tights and leotards beyond Level 1 A.  Tights are dancers' underpants and it is beneficial for all dancers to become familiar with this aspect of a dancer's education as early as possible.
  • All shoes worn in the dance studio may NOT be worn outside.  Please carry all dance shoes into the studio and put your Ballet students: Please make sure you have a list of all of our approve dance attire.  Students who don't follow our dress code may be ask to sit and observe their class. Each Ballet division has their own style and color leotard and should be worn at all times.
